We keep things practical, welcoming, and relevant — so you spend less time confused and more time settled.

Clear Orientation

We map out the local money landscape so you know exactly where to start and what to do first.

Community Support

You are not alone. Our newcomer community means there is always someone who has been through it before.

Jargon-Free Language

Everything is explained in plain English, designed for people who are new to Malaysian financial systems.

Malaysia-Specific Content

Content is tailored to life in Malaysia — local banks, local documents, local habits and norms.

Small Group Format

Sessions are kept small so facilitators have time to address your individual questions and situation.

Take-Home Resources

Every programme comes with printed guides and checklists you can reference long after the session ends.

Common Questions

Things People Often Ask Us

Who are these programmes designed for?

Our programmes are for anyone who has recently moved to Malaysia and wants to get comfortable with everyday money matters — banking, budgeting, documents, and local financial habits. This includes expats, foreign workers, international students, and their family members.

Do I need any prior financial knowledge to join?

Not at all. All our sessions start from the basics and assume no prior knowledge of Malaysia's financial systems. The goal is orientation and everyday practicality, not advanced finance.

How long does each programme run?

The Getting-Started Workshop is a single session of around 3 hours. The Newcomer Toolkit is an ongoing self-paced resource with community access. The Settling-In Literacy Programme spans multiple group sessions typically spread over 4–6 weeks.

Are the sessions held in person or online?

Currently our main sessions are held in person at our Cyberjaya centre, which makes it easy to connect with other newcomers in the area. We can discuss alternative arrangements for groups or those outside the Klang Valley — just contact us.

What is the difference between the Toolkit and the Literacy Programme?

The Toolkit is a resource and community package — guides, planners, and a space to ask questions as you go. The Settling-In Literacy Programme is a structured multi-session course with facilitated group learning, suitable for those who prefer a guided, step-by-step approach.

Is there a certificate at the end?

The Settling-In Literacy Programme includes a certificate of attendance upon completing the sessions. The Getting-Started Workshop provides a detailed checklist and reference materials rather than a certificate.
